01 Is MATCHS free to use?
Yes — browsing guides, viewing profiles, and sending messages are completely free. You only pay when you book a tour with a guide.
02 Can I trust the guides?
MATCHS is currently in beta. We are building a thorough guide verification process that will include identity checks, interviews, and screening before our official launch. For now, guides are real local residents passionate about sharing their area.
03 What languages are available?
Our guides speak multiple languages, including English, Chinese, and Korean. You can check each guide's language skills on their profile page.
04 Can I cancel my booking?
Yes — you can cancel up to 24 hours before the tour starts for a full refund. If something unavoidable comes up, please reach out to the guide directly to discuss your options.
05 How do I become a guide?
Apply from the "Become a Guide" page on our website. We review applications and help you set up your profile. As we prepare for launch, early applicants will be the first to be onboarded.
06 What payment methods are accepted?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
07 Can I contact the guide directly?
Yes — you can message any guide directly even before booking. Feel free to discuss schedule adjustments, custom tour requests, or any other questions you may have.
08 Are there guides outside the Tama region?
Currently, our guides operate mainly in the Tama region, including Mount Takao, Tachikawa, Ome, Okutama, Chofu, Fuchu, Machida, and other nearby areas.
